If someone young who looks up to you asks for criticism and creative direction because you run a stage with flight systems, and they've clearly put in real effort to understand how it works...
Don't crush their spirit by tearing them down and offering zero guidance or encouragement. People learning to make these stages shine need direction, not just the harsh part.
When someone comes to you for advice, they've dropped their guard. That respect deserves care, not carelessness.
Your team also tore into them for using a free tool I gave them to stream lights into your space, then criticized the group over whitelisting something most other clubs add without hesitation. Just because he refuses to pick a side and stays logical and kind, you throw shade and demand he choose based on association.
That behavior is ugly. I will never force anyone to pick a side. Clout and allegiance games have no place here.
When people ask me about applying to the big blue dog spaces, I tell them: go try it. Maybe your experience will be different than mine. I know how I was treated, but I won't poison someone else's chance. I simply share what happened to me and let them live it for themselves.
Most of the time they come back with their own experiences and make their own decisions. The long game of honesty and integrity always wins. And I never need to post "looking for LD/VJs" in my clubs.
